Біографія
У 2021-2024 рр. Іван Гомза посідав посаду академічного директора програми з публічної політики та врядування
Отримавши ступінь кандидата політичних наук у 2012 р. після навчання на подвійній франко-українській аспірантурі в Університеті Париж Х – Нантер і «Києво-Могилянській Академії», він був стипендіатом Німецької служби академічних обмінів (DAAD) в 2013 р., Програми Фулбрайта в 2016-2017 рр., Програми ім. Петрача в Університеті ім. Джорджа Вашингтона та Програми ім. Петра Яцика в Університеті Торонто.
Наукові інтереси Івана Гомзи стосуються питань соціальних наслідків війни, демократизації, авторитарних режимів, політики незгоди та хорошого врядування. Він друкує свої дослідження в міжнародних академічних журналах, напр. Problems of Post-Communism, Journal of Democracy і Nationality Papers. Також, є автором кількох книг, найновіша з яких «Республіка занепаду: ідеологія французького інтегрального націоналізму в добу Третьої республіки» (Київ: Критика, 2021) увійшла до довгого списку номінантів на премію Українського ПЕН-Клубу. З жовтня 2019, Іван Гомза є дійсним членом дослідницької мережі «ПОНАРС Евразія», котрі займається виробленням інноваційних підходів до вивчення соціальних, політичних і економічних процесів у Євразії. Окрім цього, Іван Гомза читає в сукупності п’ять курсів у КШЕ та НаУКМА і регулярно дає відкриті лекції у співпраці з різноманітними громадськими організаціями.
