Kyiv School of Economics invites you to Open Lecture “Best Practices in Government Accountability at the National and Local Level” by Gail Flister Vallieres.
About the speaker:
Gail Flister Vallieres – retired Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).
From 2000 to 2011 Gail Flister Vallieres had been working at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) as Assistant Director in GAO’s Financial Management and Assurance Team. Among her responsibilities were leading the agency’s international collaboration to promote convergence of international auditing standards and provided training for visiting delegations from other National Audit Offices. Mrs. Vallieres worked with colleagues from around the world in drafting standards and guidance and represented GAO on numerous international committees and task forces that developed and enhanced auditing best practice models, developing methods of bridging communication difficulties and cultural differences.
From 2013 till 2017 she has been working as a volunteer in Community Development in Ukraine and Small Enterprise Development in Moldova.
