The course aims to develop “data-analytic” thinking enabling students evaluating how data can improve performance, identify opportunities, and assist in decision making, as well as critically evaluate the results of the existing literature.
It introduces students with statistical tools needed in business and economics. Topics may include descriptive statistics, random variables, probability distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, sample survey methods, correlation, and regression analysis, time series forecasting.
Statistical Analysis for Business is a core basic course of the Master of Business and Management in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (MBAI) program. Students will practice solving real case problems using MS Excel and Python.
