About speaker: Jure (George) Samardzic – Director Finance and Administration Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia & Moldova.
Mr. Samardzic joined Philip Morris International Management SA back in 1998 as a Financial Analyst in the Eastern Europe Region located in Lausanne, Switzerland and worked his way up to became the Controller Finance of the EEMA Region in 2003. In 2005, Mr. Samardzic was appointed to his first Director Finance position heading the Central Europe South cluster of 6 markets stationed in Zagreb, Croatia followed by a move into Corporate Finance as Director Financial Planning & Reporting, PMI in 2008 before taking on his current role, in 2015, as Director Finance of a large affiliate in Ukraine.
From 1988 to 1993, Mr. Samardzic held various high school teaching positions in the public section in Ontario, Canada followed by a teaching post in a private school in Neuchatel, Switzerland from 1993-1998.
Mr. Samardzic received his Bachelor of Science and Education degrees from the University of Western Ontario in Canada and a MBA degree from Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland.
