Yegor Stadnyi

First Vice-Rector, Founding Dean of the Faculty of Undergraduate Studies of the Kyiv School of Economics



Biography

Yegor has analyzed education policy in Ukraine and the EU for over 10 years. He holds a double Master’s degree in History from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and a Master’s in East European Studies from the University of Warsaw. In 2012-2013, he studied at the University of Warsaw’s PhD program. He returned to Ukraine during the events of the Revolution of Dignity.

From 2012-2019, he worked at the Cedos think tank, where he researched issues of higher education funding, socioeconomic status of teachers and students, student migration, student motivation, and academic integrity. In 2018-2019, he headed the Cedos think tank.

From September 2019 to June 2020, Yegor worked as Deputy Minister of Education and Science for Higher Education. At Yegor’s initiative, the government introduced performance-based funding for universities, contracts with rectors that provide for KPIs to be achieved by universities under the leadership of rectors, mandatory external foreign language testing for master’s degree programs, and anti-dumping instruments that prevent undercutting tuition prices.

In September 2020, he joined the Kyiv School of Economics and created the Faculty of Undergraduate Studies, which he is currently developing.

In June 2022, Yegor became the first Vice-Rector of the Kyiv School of Economics. He became responsible for organizing the educational process, quality assurance processes, student recruitment, and teacher selection throughout the university.
