Oleksandr Perekhozhuk

Ph.D., Martin Luther University (Germany), Associated Expert at the Center for Food and Land Use Research at Kyiv School of Economics, Researcher at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO).

Biography

Dr. Oleksandr Perekhozhuk graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Kyiv National Agricultural University. He studied agricultural economics in the master’s program “Sustainable Agriculture in Transition Economies and Agricultural Development” at Martin Luther University in Germany. In 2007, he earned his doctoral degree at Martin Luther University in Germany, with his doctoral thesis titled “Market Structure and Pricing in the Ukrainian Milk Market.” Since 2007, he has been working as a research fellow in the Department of Agricultural Markets at IAMO, conducting research in the fields of industrial organization, international trade, applied econometrics, and microeconomic analysis.

Dr. Oleksandr Perekhozhuk has led international projects on “Global Food Crisis – Impact on Wheat Markets and Trade in the Caucasus and Central Asia and the Role of Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine” from 2012 to 2017. Starting from December 2017, Dr. Oleksandr Perekhozhuk serves as the project leader for “UaFoodTrade.
