About the D.A.T.A & KSE Foundation

Data and Tech Aid (D.A.T.A.) is a volunteer community formed of individuals and businesses with roots in data & analytics and technology, established with the goal of supporting charitable efforts in Ukraine.

D.A.T.A. was founded by Rob Howes in response to the Ukraine crisis. It exists to unite us and allows us to pool our resources to, ultimately, make a bigger difference together.

We have the backing of a number of business leaders and organizations including Peter Jackson, Women in Data, DAMA UK, and more.

At this early stage, we recognize the need for immediate aid and action. As such, we’re currently focusing our efforts on fundraising via donations.

We are using the funds to support KSE Foundation, which is providing critical support to those who have been directly affected by the Ukrainian war.

The KSE Charitable Foundation was established in 2007 as a subsidiary of its non-profit corporation in the United States. Originally, focused on providing scholarships for its students.

Working directly with the Government of Ukraine, other funds, and multiple volunteer organizations, the KSE has established itself as one of the largest humanitarian aid foundations providing vital medicines, food, and protective supplies to those in Ukraine.

Forbes Ukraine has ranked the KSE Foundation Humanitarian Relief effort as one of the most efficient fundraising initiatives (the third place among the charitable foundations; comeback alive – the 1st with 117M, Razom – the 2nd with 21M).

Our Cause

Now it has become evident that the main danger for civilians at war in Ukraine is death from blood loss from shrapnel wounds after the shelling. Thousands of lives could be saved if bleeding is stopped quickly. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has confirmed to KSE the need for up to 300,000 kits for regional administrations, hospitals, territorial defense, emergency services, military, and Ukrainian Railways (Ukrainian state railroad company, evacuating people). So now our priority is supplying those in need with medical stop the bleed kits.
