Sociological Research

At our Center, our primary objective is to strengthen the research capacities of the KSE Institute within the realm of sociological research. Collaborating closely with Ukrainian stakeholders, we conduct surveys and research vital for shaping policy changes. 

Moreover, we endeavor to establish and uphold high-quality standards for such endeavors within Ukraine, fostering a culture of rigorous inquiry and impactful analysis


Projects:

Needs and problems of Ukrainian women entrepreneurs in the context of a full-scale war

The authors analyzed the condition of women’s business in Ukraine, focusing on microenterprises and described the needs and challenges of Ukrainian entrepreneurs, including vulnerable groups. 

The research was conducted as part of the Good Governance Fund project “Revitalizing the Business Climate in Ukraine”, funded by UK International Development from the UK government.  The project is implemented by Abt Britain and the Kyiv School of Economics. The study was made possible with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, and the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development.


The Future Index (Child Well-Being Index) 

Index of the Future (Index of Children’s Well-being) – is a comprehensive assessment of the existing situation with the well-being of children in Ukraine, which will provide an opportunity to implement effective programs and projects to solve critical problems among children caused by a full-scale war. The Future Index (Child Well-Being Index), developed at the initiative of the Olena Zelenska Foundation and the Kyiv School of Economics and with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine, aims to reveal various aspects that affect the well-being of children in Ukraine.
