Master class: Leading Change: the Role of Transformational Leadership

Kyiv School of Economics invites to join an exclusive master class delivered by Juan Carlos Pastor PhD, Professor of Leadership, IE Business School.

The purpose of transformational leadership is to change and transform people and organizations to higher levels of development. During the master class, we will discuss some of the best practices in each dimension and see some examples of exceptional leaders. Transformational leadership requires high levels of trust between leaders and followers. We will discuss how transformational leaders build trust and develop positive spirals of high performance that are sustainable. Finally, we will discover how leaders can become transformational leaders for their followers.

About the speaker:

Juan-Carlos Pastor is a Professor of Organizational Behavior at IE Business School. He was an Assistant Professor of Management Behavior at the Richard Ivey School of Business. He teaches courses on Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Coaching, Organizational Change and Managing People Skills. He earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and was a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University. He earned an M.A. in Social Psychology from Clark University and a BA in Psychology from the University Autonoma of Madrid. His research interests include a social psychological approach to leadership that emphasizes the cognitions and social environments of both leaders and followers.
