Tymofiy Mylovanov was appointed as President of the Kyiv School of Economics

Tymofiy Mylovanov, KSE graduate and associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh, has been appointed as President of the Kyiv School of Economics since April 6, 2020.

The Board of Directors has agreed upon Tymofiy’s Mylovanov return to the Kyiv School of Economics as President.

Tymofiy Mylovanov: “Together with the management, education and research teams, we will continue working to achieve the Mission of the School — to build the intellectual foundation for a strong and innovative economy of Ukraine. We’ll keep doing this by improving standards of economic and business education. Today, our graduates not only work successfully in the commercial sector but also enhance the intellectual potential of many government institutions in our country. I believe that there are even more from year to year. However, in addition to quality education, an important objective of the School is the development and analysis of state economic policies. We are going to intensify research and advocacy streamlines of the School. And this is another ambition of the School — to become a reliable source of economic research in Ukraine.”

Among the priorities of Tymofiy Mylovanov is the development of KSE aimed to increase the number of adults and students to whom the School can offer educational products.

The plans of the Kyiv School of Economics until 2023 are to create the KSE Campus, to start a baccalaureate, to build academic and analytical capacity, and to scale the online and mixed learning platform Ukraine-Learns.

The appointment takes effect on April 06, 2020.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kyiv School of Economics Yegor Grigorenko:

“Timofiy Milovanov is not only one of many successful graduates of KSE and not just one of the former presidents of the School. He is a man without whom it is impossible to imagine the rapid development of the School in the last 5-6 years. He has become the engine of most of the changes that have taken place during this period, including the expansion of the range of programs, the significant increase in the number of students in all areas of study, the enhancing of the research competences and capabilities of the School and its public presence. That is why the School’s Board of Directors did not hesitate at all when the opportunity to re-engage Timofiy in our management team came. I am sure that the School and Timofiy have further success ahead, even more powerful and brighter one”.

Natalia Shapoval, who was elected head of the KSE management team after the appointment of Tymofiy Mylovanov as Minister (from September 2019 to March 2020), will continue to work at the Kyiv School of Economics as Chairman of the KSE Institute.
