Serhii Plokhii joins the KSE International Academic Board

We are pleased to announce that Serhii Plokhii, one of the world’s most renowned experts on the history of Ukraine and Eastern Europe, has joined the KSE International Academic Board.

Serhii Plokhii is the Director of the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute, a laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine (2018), and a member of PEN Ukraine. He is the author of the bestselling books The Gates of Europe, The Last Empire, The Cossack Myth, Yalta: The Price of Peace, and The Russo-Ukrainian War, which was included in The Telegraph’s list of the 50 Best Books of 2023.

“I am both pleased and honored to join the International Academic Board of the Kyiv School of Economics and look forward to working together with some of the leading figures in business and academia to raise the new generation of Ukrainian leaders, the generation that will rebuild and strengthen Ukraine and will make us all proud of the work we are doing now,” said Serhii Plokhii.

KSE is a global university that has been developing educational programs and research in public history and memory studies since 2022. We are confident that cooperation with Dr. Serhii Plokhii will strengthen our university.

The Kyiv School of Economics has an International Academic Board headed by Roger Myerson, a Nobel Laureate in Economics in 2007 and a professor at the University of Chicago. The Board’s goal is to provide expert support for KSE to ensure high-quality standards of teaching and research.
