On March 7, 2024, an expert meeting titled “Agrarian Outlook of Ukraine 2024-2033” took place. The meeting presented the results of projections for agricultural markets of Ukraine from 2024 to 2033, conducted by the consortium Outlook Ukraine. The event was held with the support of APD.

The consortium experts presented forecasts for the development of crops and livestock markets. The research results illustrate that despite the challenging situation in the country, the agricultural sector is active and expected to return to relatively high rates of development and recovery in the coming decade.

During the discussion, a series of assumptions were proposed for further consideration in modeling specific scenarios, such as revision of the time and extent of the return into agricultural use of mined and contaminated lands, and limited financing of the sector.

The next meeting and presentation of updated modeling results are planned for the second quarter of 2024.
