- Natalie Ann Jaresko visited KSE Graduation Ceremony 2015
On June 20, 2015, Kyiv School of Economics had a big honour to have Natalie Ann Jaresko, Minister of Finance of Ukraine, as a speaker at KSE Graduation Ceremony 2015. Natalie wrote amazing post at her facebook page and we couldn’t stop but share it:
“On Saturday, I had the honor to deliver welcoming remarks to the graduates of the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), which less than 20 years since its foundation has won a reputation as the best economics school in our country. I noted that some of the graduates of the KSE are willing to continue studying and building their career abroad. But I took the opportunity to share with them a piece of advice. There are few countries in the world today where talented youngsters, fluent in English, and with a deep understanding of economics and finance have such a great window of opportunity as they have in Ukraine. Ukraine has embarked on the path of reform and started an unprecedented program of rebuilding and modernizing its economy. This modernization requires not only strong political will – which our Government, our President and our Parliament have – but also requires professionals with relevant knowledge. Today in Ukraine, talented young people could become a minister or deputy head of the National Bank in their early to mid 30s. We hope that those young Ukrainians graduating from universities today, will want and will be able to help our Government proceed with this modernization and these reforms.”
It is a big honour for KSE! We are really thankful for such a wonderful and inspiring speech and we will be glad to see Natalie at the Kyiv School of Economics again!
