Yurii Sholomytskyi

Biography

Yurii Sholomytskyi has 14 years of experience in macroeconomic analysis and forecasting and specialize on macroeconomic modeling, econometrics and monetary economics.

Started career at public sector (the Ministry of Finance, the National bank of Ukraine (last position – head of unit for modeling)), worked at financial consulting (OGResearch (Prague, Czechia) and for a short time collaborated with Global Projection model network team). Participated at several IMF technical assistance missions to central banks (mainly developing and poor countries – Angola, Rwanda, Malawi, Tanzania, Kyrgyz Republic) as a consultant.

Contributed to the development of economic analysis and forecasting system development of the Ministry of development of economy, agriculture and trade as senior expert of the Reforms support team with the Ministry. Obtained a master degree in electrical engineering, computer sciences from National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and specialist degree in banking from the University of Banking of the National bank of Ukraine.
