While studying at Humboldt University, Alex Lissitsa worked as a research assistant. After graduation he was invited to work as a leading researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies is a research institute located in Halle, Germany.
In 2006-2007 he held the position of General Director of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation. Director (UAC), UAC is umbrella institution in Ukrainian agribusiness.
In 2007 he founded an headed association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” (UCAB).
In 2007-2011 Non-executive Director of Agroton Public Limited, one of the largest agricultural producers in Ukraine.
Alex Lissitsa was an advisor to the Minister for Agrarian Policies Yuriy Melnyk and the Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Since May 2013, Alex Lissitsa is the CEO of the IMC, one of TOP-10 agricultural companies in Ukraine.
Alex Lissitsa is the Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Center for European Policy.
Since 2017, Alex Lissitsa has been the Chairman of the Council for Agrarian Education at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Since 2017 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Ukrainian Academy of Corporate Governance.
Since 2019, he has been the founder and actively developing the program of training specialists of a wide profile “Agrokebety” on the basis of the Faculty of Agrarian Management of National University of Life and Environmental Scienсes of Ukraine.
