Assessment of losses, damages, and needs of the agricultural sector due to the war

This is the third Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDNA) conducted by KSE Agrocenter using the World Bank methodology. The results of the study are used in the joint report (link to the report), published by the Government of Ukraine, European Commission, and the United Nations. Additionally, the findings of the analysis are disseminated in a report published by KSE Agrocenter, which delves deeper into the information presented in the RDNA report.

The Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment in agriculture is carried out to inform a wide audience and policymakers about compensation and recovery needs. Damage refers to the monetary value of tangible assets that have been destroyed (or stolen) or partially damaged (but still suitable for repair or restoration) due to military actions and occupation. Losses, on the other hand, represent the income not earned, such as from unplanted fields, lower yields, and increased production costs. Reconstruction and recovery Needs are also estimated as part of the analysis.
