Description
At this seminar, we will consider the strategy, criteria, and tools for building an effective first-class retail network from the first facility to the expansion to other regions, as well as a methodology for choosing the best locations for retail locations and evaluating investment projects. In practice, consider the systematic preparation of a plan for entering the retail market that may be of interest to you (region/city/district).
Learning outcomes:
- Become acquainted with and will be able to apply the principles of concentration in the development of the retail network
- Will learn how to develop the strategy and tactics of building a first-class retail network
- Will learn how to evaluate locations and collect data about the competitors; will be able to create own model of locations’ estimation
- Consider methods for resolving network conflicts and identifying investment metrics, and will learn how to evaluate such projects
- Will consider approaches to market analysis and preparation of an outlet plan for other regions (country/region/city/district)
- Will get to know how to build an effective network development team
- Will get to know the life-hacks on retail network development and management

Information about the Speaker
Oleg Zubchenok, Vice-President of the Oil and Gas Association of Ukraine, alumni KSE MBA
- Has 13 years of experience in business development, operations and sales in top positions at Shell Ukraine
- Certified Project Manager, Investment Projects Specialist
- Graduated with honors, MBA at Kyiv School of Economics (KSE); has two more degrees in business economics and biophysics
- Has managed projects with a team of more than 1500 people, expanded the Shell network to 45 filling stations
- Developed a 5-year business scaling strategy for Shell Turkey
- Evaluated investment projects and implemented Lean, Theory of Constraints, Continuous Improvement, Design Thinking, managed retail network development projects in Russia, Poland, Slovakia and Turkey
- Has implemented over 70 investment projects for the construction, purchase and sale of gas stations in the markets of Ukraine, Turkey, the Russian Federation and Eastern Europe.
