Lecturer is Dmytro Derkach, the Head of Communications with the World Bank Office in Ukraine. He is responsible for work with mass media, NGOs, think-tanks and the Parliament. He is also in charge of the World Bank communications strategy and oversees preparation and implementation of public information campaigns under the World Bank projects and programs in Ukraine.
Before joining the World Bank in 1997, Mr. Derkach worked as Deputy CEO of the British PR company, Head of the Press Department and Press Secretary of the USAID project, head of the Press Service of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. Philologist by education, Mr. Derkach spent first ten years of his career with the Publishing House of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.
