Annual Research Conference of the National Bank of Ukraine «Communication of the Central Bank: From Secrets to Transparency», organized jointly with the National Bank of Poland.

 

This year, the central topic of the Annual Research Conference of the National Bank of Ukraine and the National Bank of Poland is the transparency of central banks.

 

The two-day international event will provide a platform for exchange of knowledge and experience between representatives, clients and partners of central banks, communications specialists and researchers from all over the world.

 

The conference participants will jointly look for answers to the following questions:

• How much should central banks communicate?
• Do central banks have to struggle with populism?
• How do new technologies help central banks to communicate with the general public?
• Are communications equally effective in different areas of policy?
• How to create strong expectations for the central bank policy in society, financial sector and business and why is this important?
• Can the verbosity cause even greater uncertainty?
• How does the central bank have to explain its actions and how should it send signals to its clients and partners about its policy in information noise effectively?

 

Speakers of the conference are policy makers and experts from the central banks of Great Britain, Canada, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, the United States of America, France, the Czech Republic and Sweden, as well as the European Central Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the leading universities of the world.
