Seminar "Effect of tobacco products placement on new smokers"

Abstract of the paper:

The paper contains meta-analysis of the impact of restriction of display of tobacco products on the probability of starting smoking. The analysis shows that the restriction reduces the incidence of new smokers by 23%.

 

Another part of the paper is a survey of workers of kiosks that trade in different goods. The analysis shows that a half of kiosks derive 75% of their revenues from sales of tobacco products, a third derive from that 50-75% of their revenues. Thus, kiosks use special means to display tobacco products and they are not ready to restrict usage of these means.
