Public discussion “Moving Towards a Business-Friendly Environment in Ukraine” on Dec.9 at KSE

On Dec.9 at 7 pm Kyiv School of Economics will host a public discussion “Moving Towards a Business-Friendly Environment in Ukraine” with the participation of Ivan Stefanec, Member of the European Parliament.

Mr. Stefanec will share good practices from Slovakia, which can be used for creating a business-friendly environment for Ukraine. He will be joined by Denys Gursky, Founder and CEO of 1991 incubator and Tymofiy Mylovanov, Honorary President of Kyiv School of Economics, who will moderate the discussion.

Mr. Stefanec is a member of the European Parliament’s Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection focusing on SMEs, employment, (digital) single market and red tape reduction. Prior to joining the European Parliament, he was member of the Slovak parliament. In 2004, when Slovakia joined the EU, he was appointed Government plenipotentiary for the introduction of the euro currency in Slovakia. Before entering politics, Mr Štefanec held a number of high-level managerial position at Coca Cola in Bratislava and Vienna.

The event is a part of #UkraineReforms, joint project of Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, Kyiv School of Economics, Reanimation Package of Reforms and Stronger Together, which was launched in 2014 to support and promote reforms in Ukraine.
