Kyiv School of Economics will host an open lecture by Dita Charanzová, Member of the European
Parliament. The topic of the lecture will be “The experience of CzechRepublic with the EU accession”.

Ms. Charanzová is a Czech politician and diplomat. She
was elected to the EU parliament in 2014 and is a member of the Committee on
the Internal Market and Consumer Protection and substitute member of the
Committee on International Trade.

Prior to joining the EU Parliament, she participated
in the Phare programme (EU’s financial instrument for accession of the Central
and Eastern European countries), focusing on the reform of the Czech State
administration. Ms. Charanzová also worked in the Czech Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, during the period when the Czech Republic joined the EU in 2004 and during
the Czech European Union Presidency in 2009. Last year Ms. Charanzová
participated in the Kyiv half marathon as a symbolic act of supporting reforms
in Ukraine.

The lecture is a part of #UkraineReforms project, joint project of Wilfried Martens Centre
for European Studies, Kyiv School of Economics, Reanimation Package of Reforms
and Stronger Together, which was launched in the end of 2014 in support of
reforms in Ukraine.
