The purpose of this course is to get knowledge about Blockchain as a technology, its appliances, certain technical aspects and what benefits it may bring. We’re going to touch some existing blockchain networks as well as we will try to build our own.

During the course you’ll learn:

• Cryptography fundamentals blockchain is built on
• What kind of blockchains exists, consensus algorithms and incentives
• Why blockchain doesn’t equal to cryptocurrency
• Concept of Smart Contracts
• Areas of the appliance and what domain it may work best

But more importantly, you will be ready to work in a modern shared economy space.

 

Learning outcomes:

At the end of this course, the student should be able to:

• Know what blockchain is, and where it’s suitable where not
• Know the difference between many types of blockchain projects and frameworks
• Have the ability to start a simple network
• Be able to write simple smart contracts
• And understand the general aspect of distributed ledger technology
• Have knowledge of blockchain appliance and best scenarios

Course structure:

 

The course consists of theoretical information as well as many practical hours. Part of projects and experience should be gained to use later during homework projects. Different practical exercises are included to show how information can be used. We will also concentrate on background aspects of blockchain, such as cryptography and social interactions. Within 3 days course covers:
