Faculty: Faculty of Bachelor’s Studies / Faculty of Master’s Economic Studies

 

Teach one or more subjects in English for bachelor’s and/or master’s programs, namely:

  • Business English
  • English for work and study
  • Written English for academic purposes
  • Effective business communication

 

Teaching responsibilities follow the university’s academic schedule.

 

The list of academic subjects that you will teach must be approved by the university management. The university offers teaching in those disciplines that are close to your specialization and professional interests.

 

Teaching can take place in various educational programs of the University, including short-term educational programs.

 

2. Duties

In the field of teaching:

  • send ready course syllabi and study plans by e-mail at least two weeks before the start of the course,
  • conduct teaching activities from the first day of classes until the final exam for each course you teach. Availability for in-person consultation with students within two business days after final grades are released is required.
  • observe regular office hours for consultation with students (one hour per week for each course). You should also be available for other informal discussions with the small groups of students you teach.
  • prepare current and final assessments for the courses you teach, conduct exams, assign grades and notify students of the grades no later than 7 days after the exam date,
  • take into account the opinions of students and the academic director when improving the syllabi of the academic disciplines you teach;
  • organize, monitor and improve the work of assistants in the disciplines you teach,
  • prepare educational materials and upload them to the Moodle platform in accordance with the class schedule.

 

In the field of leadership and education:

Below is a list of all responsibilities in the field. The specific list will be agreed individually with the teacher.

 

  • To participate, by decision of the academic director or dean, in the work of commissions and auxiliary bodies regarding the protection of student works, conducting entrance tests, appeals, academic integrity, interviews and trial classes with candidates for the positions of teacher, associate professor, associate professor, professor.
  • Be a mentor for students and prepare them for professional growth.
  • Be actively involved in the work of additional English-speaking clubs.
  • Prepare a report on the results of the activities.
  • The creation of own research groups, centers, projects (together with students, graduates or colleagues) is encouraged for the development of important research areas that help society, as well as contribute to the visibility and authority of the University in society.

4. Requirements for candidates

  • Master’s/specialist degree and/or CELTA certificate for teaching English
  • Experience in teaching English.
  • Experience teaching business English and academic writing will be an advantage.
  • Having education in teaching methods will also be an advantage.

Relevance of experience (1-10 points)

Evaluation of the cover letter (1-10 points).
