- Opportunity: Financial aid for graduate students and early career researchers in economics
The Review of Economic Studies (ReStud) in partnership with the Ukrainian Global University and the Kyiv School of Economics provides financial aid to students and early career researchers in the field of economics. The main goal of this program is to support international visits and research. This aid will be provided to applicants who are based in Ukraine or were based there before February 24, 2022.
Timeframe: By the end of 2022. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis
Scholarships: up to 20
Who may apply: Any Ukraine-based graduate student of economics or early career researcher (PhD student or Postdoc) to visit a top tier university to work on their research. It is expected that a research visit can last one or two terms (i.e, between 3 and 6 months, with some exceptions). Applicants must have an invitation from a top tier university or obtain such invitation at most three months after being awarded the scholarship. All applicants must have a strong academic record, be proficient in English and have an active research project (master thesis, PhD thesis, academic paper, policy paper). When feasible, applicants who are currently internally displaced will be given priority.
How the funds will be provided: Depending on the circumstances, students will receive reimbursement for travel, and receive a minimum monthly stipend of 1,500 Euros to cover their rent and living expenses.
