KSE Board of Directors Approves 2025 Results: Historic Growth of the Ecosystem and a Record Student Intake

24 November 2025

The Kyiv School of Economics has held its annual Board of Directors meeting, the body responsible for assessing the institution’s progress toward its strategic goals. This governance model has been in place at KSE for 30 years, ensuring systematic evaluation of annual performance and regular updates to long-term priorities.

During the meeting, the Board reviewed KSE’s financial and operational results for 2025, assessed progress against strategic goals, and set priorities for 2026–2029.

KSE President, Tymofii Mylovanov, presented a comprehensive overview of the performance across the educational ecosystem in 2025 – one of the most successful years in KSE’s three-decade history.

This year, KSE welcomed applicants with some of the highest average admission scores in Ukraine. Competition for a spot was among the strongest we have ever seen. These students are consciously choosing to pursue their education in Ukraine during wartime, and we must ensure they have access to the resources that enable them to remain here, grow, and build their lives at home,” emphasized Tymofii Mylovanov.

2025: A Historic Year for Talent and Achievement

• 941 students are enrolled and currently studying at KSE University – the largest cohort in the institution’s history.
Ten percent of winners of national STEM olympiads were admitted to KSE bachelor’s programs. The average admission score this year was 167.3 – the second highest in Ukraine.

• A total of 1,635 students are currently studying in bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programs at KSE University.
In 2025, KSE became a partner of Google’s national initiative in artificial intelligence education and opened new research laboratories.

• KSE University launched a large-scale global recruitment drive to strengthen its academic team across key departments and to develop a Ukrainian center of excellence in teaching and research.
192 faculty members and researchers now teach and work at KSE.

• KSE Graduate Business School (KSE GBS) successfully launched the Executive MBA program, initiated the AACSB accreditation process – a globally recognized quality benchmark that will strengthen KSE’s international standing – and fully integrated AI into learning programs and internal processes, including AI-powered simulations, decision-support tools, and analytical learning environments.

• In 2025, KSE launched KSE ProfTech to address critical labor shortages across the Ukrainian construction, energy, and defense industries..
114 students completed training and certification; around 90% are already employed by partner companies.

• Over 800 student scholarships provided through the KSE Foundation helped retain top Ukrainian talent in the country.

• KSE continued systematic support for veterans, expanding education grants for veterans and their families, and fostering a barrier-free environment grounded in respect and equal opportunity.

• KSE Institute strengthened its role as an internationally leading analytical center, expanding its influence in shaping public policy across key domains of expertise.
In 2025, the Institute delivered 76 research and analytical projects that informed the decisions of the Ukrainian government, international partners, and the business community.

Obolon Campus – A Major Investment in Ukraine’s Educational Future

The new KSE Obolon Campus became the institution’s flagship long-term investment in education and research.

KSE invested $18 million in the first development phase, with the whole project estimated at around $40 million.
The campus will provide 14,000 m² of educational space, including classrooms, research facilities, laboratories, and collaborative areas for students and faculty.

Since April 2025, the campus has already hosted 25 large-scale public events for more than 8,000 participants – including members of the KSE community, veterans, athletes, and Kyiv residents. Events included a public conversation with James Robinson, the KSE Summer Math Olympiad, KSE-Gen Weekend, and several KSE-Obolon Cup tournaments in chess, water sports, table tennis, and veteran golf.

In 2026, KSE plans to fully launch educational and research operations at the new location.

The campus enables us to expand student enrollment and provide access to modern laboratories and engineering facilities. It is an investment in the University’s ability to develop applied programs, research, and partnerships at a level comparable to leading global institutions, noted the KSE President.

Philanthropy and Fundraising: Sustained, Scalable Support for Ukraine

In 2025, KSE Foundation maintained a high level of national impact and expanded its recognition in international philanthropy:

• $42.66 million raised for institutional development, defense, and humanitarian programs

• Shelters equipped in schools for 8,026 children, enabling offline learning

• More than 100 Defense Forces units supported

Our main priority is human capital – anything that keeps people in Ukraine and creates growth opportunities. KSE Foundation’s membership in global philanthropic networks, such as CAF America and Philea, confirms that we operate in accordance with international standards of transparency, monitoring, and reporting. This allows us to scale our assistance and make it sustainable”, emphasized Tymofii Mylovanov.

The Board also reviewed preliminary findings from an independent compliance and reputational assessment of Tymofii Mylovanov’s actions following his decision to step down from the supervisory Board of a state-owned enterprise.

Early results confirmed that there were no violations or improper conduct by the KSE President in fulfilling his duties as a board member of the state enterprise.
The Board will receive the full consultant report by the end of December and will publicly disclose it within legal and confidentiality limits.

The Board expressed its appreciation to KSE’s leadership team:

During the most challenging years of the war, the institution has not only maintained its pace of work – it continues to demonstrate strong outcomes in education, research, and international engagement. The Board reaffirms its commitment to principles of transparent corporate governance.
