KSE opens two bachelor’s degree programs

December 2, 2020

On December 2, the Kyiv School of Economics announced that in the 2021-22 academic year it will open two English-language bachelor’s programs: “Economics and Big Data” and “IT and Business Analytics”.

Prior to that, the university had only master’s programs and a partner bachelor’s program with the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.

“The world is experiencing a digital revolution. The World Economic Forum recently provided data that digitalization will affect up to 50% of professions in the next 5 years. More jobs will be created than destroyed, but certain professions will disappear. And so we at KSE estimate that one million people over the next 5 years will lose their jobs due to digitalization in Ukraine. That is why we are launching bachelors in IT, economics and data science, which will prepare people to meet today’s challenges”, says KSE President Tymofiy Mylovanov.

Classes will be held in a new building purchased for the School by Dragon Capital. The newly created bachelor’s programs of the Kyiv School of Economics are headed by Yegor Stadnyi, Deputy Minister of Education and Science (2019-20).

“For creating the programs we consulted and gathered expertise, studied the structure and content of the programs of American and British universities, so that our programs are not inferior to their analogues in the West,” said KSE Vice President for Bachelor’s Programs Yegor Stadny.

“We create bachelor’s programs for students who know who they want to become in the future and what they want to do. Who know that this requires quality education, who value quality education and purposefully want to obtain it. There is no other education for these children and their parents than quality education. From the very beginning we want to work for such children, for their dreams!”, he adds.
