- Elina Ribakova joins KSE Team as a Director of the International Program
Elina Ribakova has joined the KSE team as a Director of the International Program.
In her new position, Elina will focus on contributing to KSE Institute’s research, building partnerships with leading foreign institutions, and analysing the effectiveness of different tools of economic statecraft.
Elina is a specialist in global markets, economic governance, and economic sovereignty, one of the most prominent US-based experts on Ukraine and Russia.
With over 25 years of experience in financial markets, Elina has worked as Deputy Chief Economist at the Institute of International Finance (Washington, D.C.), as well as Managing Director and Head of Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa Research at Deutsche Bank (London, UK), and held senior positions at Amundi Asset Management and Citigroup.
Moreover, Elina Ribakova worked as an economist at the International Monetary Fund from 1999 to 2008, focusing on financial stability, macroeconomic policy development for commodity-exporting countries, and fiscal policy. From 2015 to 2017, Elina also worked as Visiting Research Fellow at the London School of Economics (LSE).
We also would like to note that Elina Ribakova will combine her work at Kyiv School of Economics with a nonresident senior fellow position at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, and a Non-Resident Fellow at Bruegel.
