- British Ambassador’s Visit to KSE: A Dialogue on Diplomacy and International Security
On January 29, the Kyiv School of Economics was honored to host Martin Harris, the British Ambassador to Ukraine. In a dynamic open Q&A session led by KSE Rector Tymofii Brik, Ambassador Harris engaged with students across various programs, sharing insights on diplomacy, the century-long partnership between Ukraine and the UK, and the critical need for a robust international security system.
Ambassador Harris highlighted the UK’s unwavering support for Ukraine and discussed key themes like the rule of law, reforms, and the essential role of independent media in fostering a democratic society. He stressed the significance of educating Ukraine’s future leaders and commended the UK’s leadership role in supporting Ukraine, including the recent security agreement, underscoring a long-term commitment to Ukraine’s aspirations, including NATO membership.
“We are committed to standing with Ukraine today, next year, and until its NATO integration. Ukraine’s victory is pivotal for European and global peace. The UK has no alternative but to support this cause,” said Ambassador Harris.
The Kyiv School of Economics extends its deepest gratitude to Ambassador Martin Harris and the British Embassy for this enlightening exchange and their ongoing support of the KSE community.
