Statement of the Kyiv School of Economics Board of Directors and Management on the Appointment of Tymofiy Mylovanov to the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine

Kyiv School of Economics Board of Directors and Management Team fully support Tymofiy Mylovanov in his intention to use his knowledge, years of experience, and his reputation for integrity and excellence for developing Ukraine by serving as a Member of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine. 

We are certain that Tymofiy, as a an alumnus of the Kyiv School of Economics and an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh, has competence and expertise that is crucial for development of effective monetary and regulatory policy by the National Bank of Ukraine. 

In order to focus on his responsibilities at the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine, Tymofiy has chosen to resign from the Interim President position at the Kyiv School of Economics.

However, Tymofiy will remain an integral part of the Kyiv School of Economics. He will continue to be engaged in academic research and will continue to advise students at the school in the capacity of KSE Professor. Tymofiy will also support the Kyiv School of Economics by helping to design new educational and research projects. In addition, Tymofiy will remain on the KSE Board of Directors as a non-voting member. 

The Kyiv School of Economics is extremely grateful to Tymofiy for his continuing contribution to the development of the school. In recognition of Tymofiy’s past and current efforts, KSE management has decided to award to Tymofiy Mylovanov the honorary title of Honorary President of the Kyiv School of Economics.
