November 30, 2015

On Nov.25-26 former Prime Minister of Slovakia Mikulas Dzurinda paid visit to Kharkiv as a part of #UkraineReforms project of Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, Kyiv School of Economics, Reanimation Package of Reforms and Stronger Together.

Mikulas Dzurinda is a President of Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies and a founder of #UkraineReforms project, which was launched in 2014 to bring together the expertise of influential reformers in support of reforms in Ukraine.

During the visit, Mr.Dzurinda met with civic activists, representatives of local business, participated in an annual educational conference at Kharkiv Regional Institute of Public Administration and gave several interviews.

Ukraine has made some progress on the reform front, in deregulation and fight with bureaucracy, in particular, but the pace of reforms is not fast enough, according to Mr.Dzurinda. Deregulation, privatization and decentralization should be among the key priorities on Ukraine’s reform agenda.
