KSE hosted visit of former Estonian Prime Minister Juhan Parts

On July 2-3 Kyiv School of Economics hosted visit of former Prime Minister and former Minister of Economy and Communications of Estonia Juhan Parts.

Mr. Parts visited Kharkiv and Kyiv as a part of #UkraineReforms project, initiated by Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies.

“The strategy for transition should be simple. Cut corruption starting from tomorrow morning and start to collect taxes”, “The reforms should be done quickly, time is running out” – were the key messages of Mr. Parts for Ukraine.

In Kharkiv Mr. Parts met with Vice Governor of Kharkiv State Regional Administration and participated in expert discussion on e-governance projects with representatives of Kharkiv State Regional Administration and business. Mr.Parts also had meetings with local business community and civil society. He shared Estonian experience in the area of e-governance and discussed lessons Ukraine can learn from Estonia.

In Kyiv Mr.Parts had off-the-record meeting with representatives of Ukrainian government regarding public procurement reform in Ukraine and participated in panel discussion on e-governance and anti-corruption policies with experts of Reanimation Package of Reforms and representatives of Stronger Together.
