At the same time, in each region winning team will also be determined. For this purpose team averages (equal to the sum of all team member scores divided by the number of people in the team) will be calculated, and the team with the highest average score in the region will be invited to come to Kyiv for the final round on April 18, 2013. According to the Olympiad regulation, only members of the winning team will be invited to participate in the second round, independently of their individual results.

KSE will provide winners of the first regional round with grants to cover expenses for travel to Kyiv.

While in the first round of the Olympiad all contestants will work on their assignments individually, in the second round they will get one assignment per team and work on it together. The winner will be the team with the highest score. The prize money in the amount of 4800 hryvnas will be divided among the members of the winning team.

If necessary, a jury of the KSE professors will make a final decision, including situations when several students with equal score are candidates for prize places.
