Biography

Education:

In 2016, she graduated from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with honors and holds a master’s degree in political science.

Professional path:

Svitlana Denysenko started her career at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. 

In 2016, she joined the Kyiv School of Economics team as a personal assistant to the president. In 2018, she became the Deputy Head of the KSE Development and Communications Department. In 2019, she was appointed Head of the Department for Supporting the Work of the Minister of Economy of Ukraine. Since 2020, she has been the Director of the Kyiv School of Economics Charitable Foundation.

Achievements: 

She has 8 years of experience in team management and fundraising. Under her leadership, during the martial law period, the KSE Foundation accumulated $88 million in support of Ukraine as of the end of 2023 and was recognized by Forbes Ukraine as one of the most effective non-governmental foundations.

During her tenure, the foundation implemented joint projects with the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and established cooperation with numerous international partners.

Under Svitlana Denysenko’s leadership, fundraising campaigns have been effectively implemented to support education in Ukraine, the KSE scholarship program, and the development of science and innovation. 

As part of the project to restore the right to offline learning to Ukrainian children, 66 shelters were set up in schools and kindergartens as part of the project. 

Tens of thousands of first aid kits and turnstiles, thousands of bulletproof vests and helmets, and more than 1,500 reconnaissance drones, communications equipment, optics, etc. were purchased and delivered to support Ukraine’s defenders. 

A separate area of its work has been projects to support wartime health care. In particular, the KSE Foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, rebuilt the Makariv Medical Outpatient Clinic in Kyiv Oblast, which was destroyed by enemy shelling. The DIU’s medical evacuation transport fleet was replenished with medical evacuation helicopters.

Awards: 

In 2022, Svitlana Denysenko received the Golden Heart award from the President of Ukraine.

In 2023, she was honored with the Forbes Ukraine 30 Under 30 award.
