Consultancy services to develop recommendations for strengthening the competitiveness of the Ukrainian woodworking industry
Within the framework of this project, initiated by the World Bank, KSE Agrocenter assesses the competitiveness of the woodworking industry (WI) of Ukraine. The project is implemented in partnership with unique land use GmbH (Germany) and IAK Agrar Consulting (Germany and Ukraine). The project aims to complete three main tasks.
Task 1. Study on WI production and export capacity
The main product of Task 1 is an Analytical Report on the Ukrainian Woodworking Industry production and export potential. The results will be used to elaborate economic development scenarios for the top woodworking industry sectors and related investment.
Task 2. Assessment of WI competitiveness
Task 2 focuses on identifying wood products for export with the highest degree of competitiveness on the global market and developing recommendations for improving their competitive positions. The task will develop business and policy recommendations on enhancing the international competitiveness of WI value chains.
Task 3. Development of investment proposals to leverage WI potential
This task will draw on the results of Task 1 and Task 2 to develop economic development scenarios and investment proposals for the top WI sectors from a medium-term perspective (5-10 years). These scenarios will be discussed with responsible state authorities and WI stakeholders to identify the most plausible scenario for WI recovery.
