- To train 10,000 specialists for the Ukrainian labor market: Kyiv School of Economics and Promprylad launch a joint project
On August 9, at an event in Ivano-Frankivsk with representatives of business, education, international organizations, and the Ministry of Economy, Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) and Promprylad Innovation Center discussed the problem of the personnel shortage in Ukraine and announced the start of a partnership and the launch of a joint project, Upskill Now!. The project aims to help overcome the economy’s staffing crisis, primarily through the training of professionals needed by the Ukrainian labor market.
“KSE and we have a completely identical vision. We see Ukraine as a modern, progressive, dynamic country that continues to develop even in wartime. On both sides, we are looking for ways to help our country win the war. Today, we are joining forces to overcome the challenge of a personnel shortage in the country’s economy. I sincerely believe that together we can do much more than we can do individually,“ said Yuriy Fylyuk, CEO of Promprylad.
The main component of Upskill Now! is retraining and professional development programs that will help professionals from different audiences, including young people, women, and veterans, find their place in the Ukrainian labor market. Project graduates will also be assisted in finding employment. In addition, the partners will look for other effective ways to help the Ukrainian economy overcome staffing challenges.
“We are uniting around a very specific goal — to train 10,000 real professionals for the real economy in Ukraine and to do it right now, without delay. Upskill Now! is not just a partnership project between two institutions, we are creating a platform that is open to cooperation,“ explains Tymofiy Mylovanov, President of KSE.
The project’s first step is a comprehensive study of the needs and demands of Ukrainian companies to understand what specialists they lack. If you already have ideas and suggestions for the project or want to tell us about the needs of your business, please contact us at [email protected].
