The Kyiv School of Economics Welcomes Edward V. Marshall as Senior Advisor, Strengthening Focus on Reconstruction and Economic recovery, Technology innovation, and National Security

Kyiv, Ukraine – The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), a leading institution dedicated to academic excellence and innovation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Edward V. Marshall as a Senior Advisor to the President of KSE.  Edward assumed the role effective 22 May 2023.

With a distinguished career, Edward brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to KSE. In his role as Senior Advisor, will provide strategic guidance and counsel to the university leadership on matters pertaining to advancing KSE on reconstruction and economic recovery, technology innovation, and national security matters.  His expertise will be instrumental in shaping KSE’s academic programs, Ukrainian veteran student enrollment, research initiatives, development, and global engagement efforts.   Edward will also support KSE’s strategic plans to expand its programing in software engineering, applied artificial intelligence, dual-use and military technology, and cybersecurity.

“We are thrilled to welcome Edward to our university as my new Senior Advisor,” said KSE’s President, Tymofiy Mylovanov.  “With his exceptional leadership and expertise in the national security, financial services, and family office spaces, Edward will play a crucial role in advancing our strategic goals.  Two important goals that will serve as a catalyst for reconstruction after victory of war include developing Ukrainian software engineering talent to expand tech sector growth and developing the next generation of Ukrainian public officials to support democratic, anti-corruption, and economic reforms.”

Edward is the Global Head of the Family Office Group at Dentons, the world’s largest law firm.  He received his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and completed his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University.  Edward began his career in the public sector and previously served at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.
