Сonference “On the Road to Integration: Government–Business Dialogue for Ukraine’s EU Membership”

On October 30, the Kyiv School of Economics will hold the conference “On the Road to Integration: Government–Business Dialogue for Ukraine’s EU Membership”. The event will serve as a high-level platform for dialogue between the government, the business community, EU representatives, and partners. Participants will discuss the key challenges and opportunities of European integration, with the aim to:

• Assess Ukraine’s current progress towards EU membership;

• Discuss reform priorities and further alignment with the EU acquis in 2025;

• Engage with businesses on adapting to EU rules and standards;

• Develop a shared vision for further steps towards European integration.

The event program will feature 4 thematic panels:

• Agriculture — discussion on adapting agricultural policy to EU standards, including market access, quotas and preferences, and the impact of these changes on Ukrainian companies.

• Single digital market — dedicated to the harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with the European regulatory framework, access to the EU services market, recognition of professional qualifications, reduction of barriers, and the development of the digital industry in the context of integration.

• Transport sector — focused on the harmonization of industry regulations, licensing, safety requirements, and environmental standards; assessing the impact of new conditions; investment in transport infrastructure modernization; and key challenges.

• Industry — in addition to legislative changes, the discussion will address national industrial policy and state support for production modernization, the shift to green industry, integration into European value chains, and participation in EU industrial alliances.

The conference will be opened with remarks by the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, representatives of the EU, and the Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine. In the closing session, participants will have an opportunity to exchange views on the topics discussed.
