- Application period for KSE Ukraine Global Institute (UGI) grant program to support Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction is now open
The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine have announced the opening of the application period for the KSE Ukraine Global Institute (UGI) grant competition as of August 19, 2024. This competition is part of the “Support for Ukraine’s Recovery and Reconstruction” project, a component implemented by the Kyiv School of Economics with financial backing from the European Union.
Project Objective:
The grants are intended to support the Ministry of Economy’s strategic initiatives aimed at the country’s recovery. The main focus will be on assessing the current capabilities of the regions and identifying their urgent and strategic needs. This will include an analysis of the economic and demographic situation, an evaluation of human resource needs, identifying critical professions necessary for development, and the regions’ ability to attract financing and implement investment and recovery projects. A significant focus will be on supporting entrepreneurship among socially vulnerable groups, particularly veterans, through implementing specialized financial programs.
The research will also focus on analyzing existing skills, identifying the need for their development, and assessing the necessity of upskilling current employees. This approach will promote the efficient use of resources and ensure economic growth across all regions of Ukraine.
