- American philosopher, Yale University professor Jason Stanley became an Honorary Professor at the Kyiv School of Economics
Jason Stanley, the Jacob Urowsky Professor of Philosophy at Yale University, has been awarded the title of Honorary Professor at the Kyiv School of Economics. KSE President Tymofiy Milovanov presented the honorary title to the American philosopher during the last one of his series of lectures.
Professor Stanley is a philosopher, expert on propaganda and fascism, and author of books and articles for The New York Times, The Washington Post, and other journals.
«You know you are not living in an authoritarian country when you have a university like the Kyiv School of Economics. I am very proud now to be part of the faculty and support it», said Jason Stanley during the award ceremony.
«We are pleased to welcome Professor Stanley to our university, not only as a guest but also as a team member. We are also grateful to him for his support to Ukraine during such a difficult time», said Tymofii Brik, Rector of KSE University.
Jason Stanley became the first foreigner among the Honorary Professors of the Kyiv School of Economics, which previously included the First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Serhii Nikolaychuk, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Oleksiy Sobolev and Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko.
