As a part of #UkraineReforms project, the Kyiv School of Economics continues publishing video podcasts with successful reformers from neighboring countries.

The common perception is that currently Ukraine is not moving forward with reforms and this concerns development of free market economy and democratization of political life, according to Ivan Kostov, former Prime Minister of Bulgaria. “The major lesson of Bulgaria is that the reforms were conducted in the circumstances of severe crisis, and there was a broad consensus between parties represented in the parliament. Of course, there was also some substantial external aid. Ukraine now has such aid, too,” – Mr.Kostov noted.

#UkraineReforms was launched in November 2014 by Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies in partnership with Kyiv School of Economics, Reanimation Package of Reforms and Stronger Together.
