Panel Discussion “Research and Policy in Public Health” wasd successfuly held at the premises of the Kyiv School of Economics on Thursday, July 23, within the project “Feasibility Study: Effectiveness of Public Health Programmes/Policies in Combating Severe Population Health Crisis in Ukraine”, which is being implemented by the Consortium of partners from University of Kent and Kyiv Economics Institute at the Kyiv School of Economics funded by the Department for International Development/UK Medical Research Council/ «Wellcome Trust»/ Economic and Social Research Council.

Event was participated by Stephen Peckham, Director of the Centre for Health Services Studies and Professor of Health Policy at CHSS and Department of Health Service Research and Policy at the London School of Hygiene and Topical Medicine, David Hunter, Professor of Health Policy and Management at the School of Medicine & Health, Director of the Centre for Public Policy & Health, Deputy Director of the Centre for Translational Research in Public Health, Fellow at Wolfson Research Institute and member of Management Board and Senior Fellow of the Durham Global Policy Institute (Durham University), Erica Gadsby, Research Fellow of the Centre For Health Services Studies at the University of Kent, and Olena Hankivsky, Director of the Institute for Intersectionality Research and Policy at Simon Fraser University  and is a Canadian Institutes of Health Research Gender and Health Research Chair and a Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Senior Scholar.

Ihor Perehinets, Deputy Minister of Health, has shared insights on the Development of Public Health System in Ukraine.
