- Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven visited KSE
On March 11, 2015 Kyiv School of Economics was honoured to host the Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven and Ambassador Andreas von Beckerath, who met with KSE community. Prime Minister was joined by Minister of Economic Development of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavičius to discuss the theme “How to strengthen Ukraine’s economy through EU-integration and reform”.
Main points of Stefan Löfven speech:
“By supporting Ukraine, we keep the hope of change alive and show that aggression and the use of force will never pay off or be accepted in Europe in our time.
We share a future. We share ideals, and hope.
We realize that the challenging situation in Ukraine means that support is needed urgently.
I want to give you some examples of what we do, and would welcome your thoughts on other areas where support could be needed:
- Decentralisation.
- Energy efficiency.
- Gender equality.
EU integration entails, as you all know, comprehensive and sometimes difficult reforms.
But I am sure your country is ready and willing to take on this challenge, and Sweden stands ready to fully support you on this journey.”
