Kyiv School of Economics has held a #FreeTradeEurope conference

June 4-5, the conference “DCFTAs and Beyond—How can the EU contribute to development and welfare in Eastern partnership countries” was held at Premier Palace Hotel.

The conference was attended by leading politicians, scientists, government officials,
civil society and the business sector representatives from the EU and the countries of the region, including:

  • Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sweden;
  • Pavlo Sheremeta, Minister for Economic Development and Trade, Ukraine;
  • Jeffrey D. Sachs, Director of The Earth Institute;
  • Erik Berglöf, Chief Economist and Special Adviser to the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development;
  • George Logush, President of the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE);
  • Serhiy Kvit, Minister of Education and Science, Ukraine

The conference was organized by the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) at the Stockholm School of Economics and with support from the Governments of Sweden and Ukraine.
