Pavlo Sheremeta spoke at the IV International Black Sea Economic Forum

KSE President Pavlo Sheremeta participated in the IV International Black Sea Economic Forum held by the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on October 24-25, 2013 in the historic Livadia palace in Yalta.

Pavlo Sheremeta spoke at the first session of the Forum after welcoming remarks from Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Crimea: “In order to fulfill its mission and save old Europe Ukraine should do its homework, which is about implementation of structural reforms for future economic growth, so that we could become a driver of development in the region”.

The opening session of this year Forum focused on macroeconomic outlook and growth areas of the region. Leading government stakeholders and economists discussed how the Black Sea region faces the new global economic challenges and how to respond to the recession through economic integration.

Other distinguished speakers of this session included Olexandr Vilkul, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Iryna Akimova, the First Deputy Head of Administration for the President of Ukraine, Oleh Ustenko, Executive director of the Blazer International Fund, and Sevgi Akaresme, senior editor of Today’s Zaman (Turkey). Ihor Burakovskyi, Head of the Institute of Economic Studies and Political Consulting, moderated the first panel session.
