Lecture will be dedicated to “Innovation as a successful sustainable business-model in global market. Process of Innovation in 3M.”

Withtin the Lecture Sophia will talk on:

• Creating innovation culture in the organisation
• 3M’s innovation process
• Dollarising and measuring innovation

Sophia Oliphant is currently the managing director of 3M Ukraine. 3M is a global diversified technology company and one of 30 companies that make up the Dow Jones Industrial Average.  Its famous brands include but are not limited to Post-it®, Scotch-Brite™, Littmann®. 3M manufactures a large variety of products based on innovative technology platforms. Its markets stretch from industrial to healthcare.

A national of the USA, Sophia assumed her current role as MD of 3M Ukraine in May 2011. Sophia’s career in 3M started in 1999 and spanned across variety of marketing and management roles in Germany and United Kingdom.  Sophia is originally from Georgia. She holds a B.A. degree in West European philology and a MBA from Pepperdine University, USA. Her personal goal for 3M Ukraine is to deliver significant but sustainable growth, attract more local talent and develop a solid strategic platform for the subsidiary.
