Mariia Bogonos joined the Center for Food and Land Use of Kyiv School of Economics in January 2022.
She specialises in agricultural and trade policies impact analysis, agricultural markets projections and modelling, and economics of organic and nature-oriented agriculture.
Mariia worked as a project officer at the Economics of Agriculture unit at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (DG JRC) in 2018-2021.
Since 2016, also as a long-term expert at the German-Ukrainian agricultural policy dialogue (APD Ukraine), she led popularization of the use of policy modelling instruments in Ukraine, in particular the AGMEMOD model. Her country experience covers European Union, Germany, Ukraine and China.
Mariia received her Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from University of Hohenheim (Germany, 2016 and 2011) and B.Sc. in Economic Cybernetics from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University (Ukraine, 2008).
