Mission
MA in Urban Development will address the most salient issues of inequalities and inclusiveness in new villages and cities of Ukraine that will be rebuilt. At the same time, this program will address new challenges and inequalities in those communities which hosted millions of IDPs, while shaping relevant policymaking by the government.
Content
MA will equip our graduates with the necessary economic, financial, legal, and institutional know-how needed to successfully design, implement, and promote the challenging reconstruction efforts along environmentally sustainable, economically and socially inclusive dimensions. Our graduates will aim for excellence in the dynamic, interdisciplinary field of urban development using skills acquired through course- and project-based tasks.
The implementation of development projects of war-torn urban and rural areas of Ukraine and the further durable and sustainable development of areas under intense pressure following the internal relocation of firms and individuals will require a profound understanding of the local institutional, economic, and social realities of the targeted areas. International experience in the field of post-war reconstruction will provide useful guidance on potentially useful policies and practices.
The Bartlett Real Estate Institute, London, has contributed to the development of KSE’s new Masters in Urban Development curriculum.
