Global challenges

Description

The course consists of a series of lectures on various global challenges, focused, among other topics, on climate change, corruption, land use and food security, economic development, wars and conflicts, gender inequality and migration. There are overall 8 lectures taught by professors from Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga), and International School of Economics Tbilisi (ISET).

After course completion, you will be able to

  • Students will acquire basic knowledge about the major global challenges of today’s world. Also, they will have learned what tools and methods the economists, sociologists, and political scientists use to explore these issues, and what regulatory approaches are applied in different countries to cope with them.

 

Prerequisites:

No requirement, but basic knowledge in Economics and Statistics would be helpful
