Volodymyr Vakhitov

Biography

Volodymyr Vakhitov is an Assistant Professor at Kyiv School of Economics. Volodymyr has over 15 year of experience in applied economic and microeconometric research in productivity, foreign trade, large firm-level data sets. His research interests also cover Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis, Urban Economics, Regional Development, Behavioral Economics and Agglomeration Economies. He took part in various projects for the World Bank, USAІD, Norwegian Institute of Foreign Affairs (NUPI). In particular, Volodymyr was engaged into studies of effects of non-tariff measures regulation on productivity, trade, and quality outcomes of food producers, effects of services deregulation on Ukrainian manufacturing firms, and effects of deregulation for local competitiveness in Donetsk and Luhans oblasts and Crimea in 2006-2009.

 

Volodymyr obtained his Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Kentucky (USA, 2008) and M.A. in Economics from the National University of Kyiv – Mohyla Academy (Ukraine, 1999).
